In our luncheon on Wednesday, November 4th, the Debate Team raised $640!! This is a substantial increase from last year’s figure of $530, and far greater than the average bakesale which might make barely $200. Thanks to everyone who helped make food, to the GO for allowing this to happen, and especially to the students who showed their support for the team! The money is going to be used to make tournaments cheaper throughout the year.

Hunter will be hosting its MDL on Oct 23rd. Members of the Manhattan Debate League (namely Regis, Stuyvesant, Frederick Douglas and Hunter) will be participating in the three round tournament, featuring Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum in JV and novice divisions. It will be from 4-8:30. Our coach, Noel Selegzi, will be in attendance!
